Earth quake in China

A strong earth quake has disturbed the north western Chinese province. It was measured as 6.3 in the Richter scale. . The seismographers have located the epicentre in the Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous region which is about 716 kilometers west of the provincial capital Xining. Several mud houses and huts were destroyed. More than 200 miners in Dameigou Coal Mine, which is about 15 kilometers from the epicenter, have been safely evacuated from the underground after the quake. Reports say, the quake has caused cracks in the mine's administrative building and dining room.
