Without heart for 118 days

D’Zhana Simmons, 14 year old, has survived without a heart for 4 months. The patient who suffers from heart problem got a failure in the earlier attempt in giving a heart. So she had been living with an artificial blood pumping device for nearly 4 months. Also she was considered as the first long living pediatric patient to survive without a heart while her circulation was supported with the unique device. The new heart was implanted a month ago and now she is doing well. Such incidents show us the growth in the medical field.
