150 year old structure

More than 100 years old Chennai Central prison will be soon bulldozed. Central jail is giving way for metro rail project and the extension of government hospital. Few years back, the central jail was shifted to Puzhal. The new central jail was very nice with modern features. Actually the shift was done for safety. The old central jail was very close to railway station and bus facilities. As a result, it is easier for criminals to jump over the walls and escape in train. Many criminals escaped like that and so they shifted it to Puzhal were bus and train access are not easy. The 150 year old structure which was built in 19th century will be soon bulldozed.
