Assasin wants to go out

The assassin of Rajiv Gandhi wants to leave the jail it seems and she has started fast up to death in the Kancheepuram jail where she has been locked up. Twenty years back, Rajiv Gandhi was blown into pieces by one of the suicide bomber in Sriperumbudur. Nalini is one of the key accused in the case. She got life time imprisonment in the judgments given by various courts. Nalini is claiming that she spent nearly 18 years of her life in jail and now she wants to go out of the jail. I really don’t understand whether there is any place in law to leave such criminals just like that just because they stayed n the jail for a longer period of time. In case if there is such a rule in the Indian law, I am ashamed of it.
