Terror attack foiled in U.S

U.S officials luckily averted a terror attack recently in time square. There was a car bomb placed in the place which failed to explode and the same was safely removed. Time square is one of the famous places for people to shop things. Intelligence department received a message that there is a possible terror attack in the time square and they reached the place on time. When they were searching the place by isolating the place, they found one suspicious car which was standing in one place. Smoke was coming out of the car. Immediately bomb removal squad was brought in and they immediately defused the bomb. It seems that the bomb could have killed many people it has erupted. Luckily the bomb was removed safely. But the question is who plotted this terror plot and why did they do so??? Many unanswered questions are there which needs to be answered.
